SPB Part 3
Sainted loose stool! This is getting out of hand. For the third consecutive week I've actually managed to find time on a sunday (heavens!) to put up pictures of mon jardin du porch, as all the cool kids are calling it now.*
So the tomato plant is doing really well, there are several small tomatoes ripening, and more flowers open every day. The basil is much happier now that he's higher up, so caprese salad here we come! Mind you, it may be some time before I have my own buffulo a-milking so complelely home-made salad is probably a way off yet.
My mate Jenn (and Steinbrenner's flatmate) gave me some of her seedlings that she didn't want. So I'm growing (from the left) butternut squash, bell peppers and courgettes/zucchini in a trough. Hopefully they will thrive too. It's arse-crack drenchingly humid at the moment here, but I keep reminding myself that it has to be good for the plants.
So look out for mantids in next week's SPB, oh and there are rumours swirling around the blogosphere that a bank holiday treat might be in store for the Pony Club!

*Usual disclaimer applies. The cool kids didn't say that, or rather none that I know of. That is to say I don't know any. And even if I did, they wouldn't call my garden that. So there.
