Beinvenue Bernard

I've been holding off posting about Bernard until I could get a proper photo of him. He's very shy you see, so every time I spot him, he spots me, and proceeds to run for the nearest hiding place - and there are quite a few of those in his terrarium. All in all though, he seems to have settled in quite well. He's eating lots of crickets, which is good, and he's shitting, which is also good, if slightly harder to get excited about. It's still quite warm during the day here in South Cackolacky, but the last few nights it's been getting down to around 10 or 15C. As far as I'm concerned, it makes a welcome change to turn off the AC and sleep with my windows open, but it seems Bernard is less keen because I keep finding him trying to stay cozy, curled up by his lamp, in the morning. Anyway, here are a few photos of Bernard's habitat and the best two photos I've managed to get of him so far. He a little tricky to spot but just look for the stripey tail.

More updates when he does something other than basic bodily functions and/or running away and hiding.

PS
Yes eagle-eyed readers, his lamp is a lava lamp base turned upside down.
